Tignes has earned itself a reputation as having some of the best skiing in the world.
It’s the second highest resort in Europe ensuring fantastic conditions and is one the best resorts for early snow in the alps. As part of the Espace Killy ski area, which is made up of Tignes and Val D’isere, it hosts a vast 300km of marked runs as well as accessible and fun off piste skiing and snowboarding options.

Tignes is a purpose built resort and offers a great variety of accommodation in ski chalets, hotels and apartments to suit all budgets. The scenery is spectacular with a huge frozen lake in the centre of the resort and stunning views of the Grand Motte glacier.
Tignes offers long wide pistes with hugely varied terrain and some of the best lift-served off-piste skiing in the world. For the less adventurous there are nursery slopes in resort and an entire bowl suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers towards the area which links Tignes to the Val d’Isère ski area. The Espace Killy hosts 2 snowparks for those wanting to get some ‘big air’!
Tignes has a huge variety of bars and restaurants, many featuring regular live music for those looking for a more energetic evening. Restaurants, which can be found throughout the resort, offer a huge range of cuisines from traditional Savoyarde fondues, to fantastic pizzas, steak houses and asian specialities.
A host of extra activities are available in resort, which include a gym, world class climbing wall, an indoor pool with dedicated children's area, 3 water slides plus a wellness area with jacuzzi and hot tubs in which you can to soak away the aches after a hard day skiing. Husky rides can be taken on the frozen lake and parapenting and ice-diving are available, weather permitting.
