Tignes has earned itself a reputation as having some of the best skiing in the world. It’s the second highest resort in Europe ensuring fantastic conditions and is one the best resorts for early snow in the alps. A purpose built resort Tignes offers a great variety of accommodation with ski chalets, hotels and apartments to suit all budgets. The scenery is also spectacular with a huge frozen lake in the centre of the resort and stunning views of the Grand Motte glacier.

As part of the Espace Killy ski area, which is made up of Tignes and Val D’isere, it hosts a vast 300km of marked runs as well as accessible and fun off piste skiing and snow parks.

Tignes boasts fun and lively apres-ski with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from making the resort a great holiday both on and off the slopes.

Tignes offers long wide pistes, varied terrain and some of the best lift-served off-piste skiing in the world. For the less adventurous there are free nursery slopes in resort, and an entire bowl suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers in the area between Tignes and Val d’Isère. The Espace Killy also has 2 snow parks for those wanting to get some ‘big air’!

Tignes has a good variety of restaurants and bars many of which host regular live music for those looking for a more energetic evening. Restaurants, which can be found throughout the resort, offer an extensive range of cuisine ranging from traditional Savoyarde, to pizzas and steak houses to asian specialities.

Tignes also offers a great choice of resort based activities some of which are included with the lift pass like access to the fantastic Lagon swimming pool complex with a kids pool with water slides and adults only wellness area. There is also the Tignes Espace sports centre with squash courts, tennis, indoor skating, badminton, trampolining and a fantastic indoor climbing wall. Other activities available in resort include husky riding, paragliding, ice-diving under the ice of the Tignes Lake, moon-biking and much more.
