Morzine is a beautiful, bustling alpine village in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, full of wooden chalets and old stone buildings.
Set in the very heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area with it's 650km of pistes on the doorstep, as well as a pretty 120km of tree-lined local slopes you'll find all the skiing you are looking for. Indeed with Morzine as your base, it’s often hard to explore all that the Portes du Soleil has to offer in just one week as there is just so much!
Off the slopes you can see why Morzine has been consistently voted one of the top 10 aprés destinations in the world. There is a huge selection of local bars, restaurants and clubs for you to unwind in.
The Portes du Soleil is a ski area that truly offers something for everyone with 330 pistes made up of 37 green runs, 123 blue, 110 red and 30 black there is a great choice and variety for skiers of all levels, including tree-lined runs, easy wide pistes, steep Alpine descents, mogul fields, snowparks and fun areas for children.
Heading in the direction of the Pleney, you can spend a full day exploring the Nyon area. The tree-lined runs and bowls of Les Gets are also likely to consume a full day during your trip and on the opposite side of the valley, the Super Morzine lift offers fast access to Avoriaz and the wider Portes du Soleil.
Morzine has earned itself a reputation of being one of the top aprés destinations in the world, with lively happy hours, lots of live music and a real party atmosphere you are bound to have a blast.
With something for everyone there is a huge amount of choice from classy wine bars to wild party bars and everything in between!

• Cafe Chaud for its wild parties.
• Le Tremplin situated at the bottom of the Pleney Cable Car which is open every day from 4 to 8pm with live bands and DJs.
• Inferno which is up on the mountain on the Nyon plateau. They throws big parties with bands playing on its branded double decker bus outside. You’ll find people dancing on tables in ski boots before skiing down the hill in time for dinner.
For night clubs you have l'Opera or Le Paradis which both open until 5am.
If you’re not a skier, Morzine also offers indoor and outdoor ice skating rink, an outdoor pool and a local cinema which often shows films in English. Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park offers a variety of activities for all ages.
