This Franco-Italian family resort has known how to preserve itself and maintain over the years an incomparable warm welcome and human touch. Here it’s the inhabitants who built their resort 60 years ago, from wood and exposed stone and that changes everything.
The Espace San Bernardo is unique in the northern Alps linking La Rosière, France with La Thuile in Italy. A journey you can make on skis, allowing access to more panoramic views and the difference in culture yet so close in proximity.
La Rosière boasts the “Famille Plus Montagne” classification, which means it is ideal for a family holiday, but whoever you come away with - your partner, your family or your friends - you are sure to have a great time.
L'Espace San Bernardo ski area opened a new sector in December 2018: the Mont Valaisan, opening up a technical side of the mountain with lots of new opportunities for Freeriders.
Located at the foot of the Italian face of Mont Blanc at 1850m and at the gateway to the Vanoise national park, La Rosière ski resort is a haven of peace in the heart of the Tarentaise valley, piecing together all the ingredients necessary for a successful ski holiday.
Benefiting from a southerly exposure and totally wide-open view overlooking the entire valley. Its exceptional snowfall guarantees snow of a great quality all season from mid-December through to end of April.
La Rosière finds itself every year in the top 10 of the French ski resorts with the most snowfall.
Its Franco-Italian ski area makes it a unique and privileged destination for skiers and foodies. Skiing over the border is a special moment to enjoy and will give you lasting memories.
The more advanced skiers will be able to have fun on the steep pistes of Mont Valaisan and from its summit at an altitude of 2800m.
Those preferring a more chilled out ski can enjoy the easier sun-facing pistes which zigzag through the resort. As for children, they can have fun on the themed pistes.
Non-skiers won’t be twiddling thumbs with the choice of activities and services available in the resort. If the purpose of your holidays is to disconnect and enjoy some total relaxation, then their different wellness areas will be perfect for you. What better than to be all together on a restaurant terrace overlooking the valley and enjoying a lunch under the sun?
La Rosiere keeps its family friendly resort even into the evenings, with bowling, tobogganing and ice-skating, to name a few activities. However, that doesn't mean there aren't great spots for an evening outing.
There are bars like Le Moo Bar Club with chilled house music, cocktails and comfy seats you won't want to leave. H40 in Les Eucherts gives an upmarket, chic vibe, with live music on Friday's and in high season they have afternoon DJs.
And if you're looking for a younger ambience with pool tables and sport on TVs you should try Le comptoir for good food and good grub. They also have live music on Wednesdays.
